Travellers with a disability
New Zealand Tourism Board publishes a guide “Where to Stay” which provides information about accommodation with facilities for travellers with a disability. In theory, all should have at least one adapted room, but it is worth checking. Public buildings are accessible to wheelchairs but this may not be the case around the city and in cafes & restaurants. Contact individual transport companies in advance to make sure facilities are available and to get help.
